At this time, B is highly unstable in mind, and so mental stress is not taken very well. He will either shut down or lash out if it becomes too much for him.

5'8 standing normally, and 5'6 while slouching.
He is extremely pale and skinny, and quite underweight at only 100lbs. On his back are several burn scars from his attempted suisidé.
His eyes are a bit odd, being a deep red with bit of a golden tint at times. As for clothing, B wears a large short-sleeved t-shirt and long soft gray sweatpants, courtesy of the Asylum.
Incarcerated for:Criminal Insánity, Three counts of murdér in the First degree.

Personality

Beyond, despite popular belief, is not about to go around killin people just for the fun of it. Although his murdérs were brutal and horror-movie-like, they were preformed as only ‘steps’ in his plan. While Beyond did find a slight high of 'pleasure' during them, he has yet to be in which he would make it a pastime.
Having lost everything, Beyond is rather subdued, and is still in the process of trying to ‘find himself’ for a fifth time, knowing that while he survived, ‘Beyond Birthday’, or at least part of him, died during his attempted suicidé. Now, he goes by simply ‘B’, though he has yet to understand just who that is.
How B will change and be affected by Glaxcin is unknown- with the right people and situations, he could start to ‘rehabilitate’ into what could be considered normal. On the other hand, he could just as easily slip and slide down a road of true insanity and cruelity, becoming what one first imagines ‘Beyond Birthday’ to be like.

Abilities/Strengths

Born with the Eyes of Deáth, B has always been able to see the names and lifespans of whomever he saw. Along with this, his eyes causes him to see only in shades of red.

History

Warning- long History Ahead!

As a child, Ryuuzaki lost both his parents early on; first his father to a car accidént, and then his mother to a mugging. After this, he spent several years hoping threw foster homes, each one unable to take his ‘oddness’. At some point Ryuuzaki’s intelligence was recognized, and so he was brought to Wammy’s House by Watari in hopes of creating another backup, along with another child ‘Alternative’, in the case that L died. There, Ryuuzaki lost his name, instead given the alias ‘Backup’.

Being the only two children in the orphanage, Alternative and Backup became close friends. Over several years their friendship grew despite the growing tension from the grueling pressure and academic tasks given to them. More children began to join the ‘backup’ program, causing both Alternative and Backup to work even harder to keep their places as ‘first’ and ‘second’. Eventually the stress of having to ‘become’ L and academic and emotional instability caused Alternative to committed suisidé, leaving Backup to discover his body and take on his load of responsibility and work.

Understandably, Backup did not handle the loss well, nor the relentless onslaught of work and expectations thrown onto him after Alternative’s ‘failure’. Along with this came the revelation and understanding of the ‘Numbers’ that he had always seen above someone’s head- the date they were to die. Backup quickly began to slip, both academically and mentally as he struggled to cope with his only friend’s suicidé, and the newly understood knowledge of the déaths to come surrounding him. No mater where he looked- no matter what he did, nothing could change the numbers that controlled fate, and Backup soon began to see the futility of ‘life’ and how the twisted world that he and A and the other children were living—being molded into perfect ‘Copies’ and ‘Backups’ and ‘Alternatives’ of L.

On the edge of losing himself, Backup flee’s Wammy’s House in May, 2002. From then until mid June, Backup attempted to repair himself, to be ‘Ryuuzaki’ and not L- but he quickly found that he could not simply undo years of training. From his mannerisms to his looks, there was no trace of his former self, Rue Ryuuzaki; only Backup, a copy of L. But ‘Backup’ had slipped and fallen and slid all the way down the tall tall tower of Wammy’s and thus was ‘good enough’ to become L no longer. And if he was no longer Ryuuzaki, wasn’t good enough to be Backup—then what was he? What of A? Of Allen Llych, who became Alternative and soon became nothing—Who became ‘not good enough’ and lost not only his mind and name, but his life? Would Backup-Ryuuzaki-Whoeverhewas, end up like A? Who had been pushed to try so hard to be what no one could become- someone else? Pushed by Wammy, by L, by Rodger and the House and the grades and every look and glance and word?

On that day, after hours and hours of tears and moans and mental stress and debates and broken furniture- Backup died as well. In his place, rose Bystander, rose Beyond, who would never be ‘used’ and manipulated and ‘second best’ again. On that day, Beyond swore to become the best, to become better, to go Beyond L and Wammy and everything they were and made and stood for. He would show them that he and A were-[i]are[/i]-better.

From then on, Beyond planned out in detail the L.A.B case. He moved to LA, scouted for those with the correct initials and dates of déath. He thought threw it all- each clue he would leave- each ‘lack of evidence’ and cut and move and number and riddle- all of them he planned in advance, preparing what he could before hand, and then waiting. Waiting ever so eagerly for Believe Bridesmaid’s date to come.

And then it came. That day, that day, that special, oh so special day.

July 31st. On that day, Believe Bridesmaid died. On that day, Beyond committed his first ever ‘murder’, erasing any and all trace that was left of Backup. On that day, 19 years ago, Rue Ryuuzaki had been born. 5 years ago Ryuuzaki had died, and in his place Backup was born. And now, now, after Rue Ryuuzaki and Backup and Bystander, Bystander who he was while planning and prepairing but not actually doing and when there was still a chance to go back--after so many births and déaths all in one person-
Beyond Birthday was born.

The rest, as they say, is common knowledge. Beyond continued to execute his plan to create the unsolvable case, and become the ‘World’s Greatest Criminal’, thus becoming better then L, the ‘World’s Greatest Detective’. He killed Quarter Queen and Backyard Bottomslash, leaving three and two Japanese straw dolls at each scene respectively, in order with the four dolls at Bridesmaid’s, all leading down to what would be his last murdér; himself. Having had any and all records of himself destroyed by Wammy when he was taken into the House, his body would be unidentifiable, and ‘BB’ never to be caught. L would have failed.

Yes… he would have. Unfortunately, Beyond Birthday underestimated L’s help Misora Naomi, and gave her one to many tips and hints. She was able to realize what he intended at the last moment, and put out the fire he had set to himself after soaking himself in gasoline moments before. Beyond Birthday survived, suffering mostly only 2nd degree burns on his limbs and 3rd degree burns on his back, having curled into a ball instinctively once the pain kicked in. He spent over a month in the Hospital before being transferred to an Asylum, his trial deciding his most obviously was not sane. He has been kept in solitary confinement there, spending his days in silence, having not spoken a word since arriving.
